UCAR is the driving force in providing educational, ethical, and technological services essential to the real estate industry, thereby raising the bar of REALTOR® professionalism while serving the public and protecting private property rights.

A word from our president...

The Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors, Inc., a professional trade association since 1974, promotes the benefits of private property rights and assists its member to better serve the public through training, advocacy, the Realtor Code of Ethics, and other business tools. UCAR provides Realtors with resources and services to conduct ethical, professional, successful and profitable businesses and is represented by over 400 real estate professionals throughout the Upper Cumberland region and is one of the local boards of the National Association of Realtors. UCAR provides professional development courses, MLS access, market updates, brokerage counseling, government representation, ethics, and arbitration services, as well as recognition awards. Being a Realtor means committing to the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics for conduct that exemplifies the highest standards of the profession.

Governed by a Board of Volunteer Directors elected by the membership and a dedicated team of staff members, UCAR is committed to the smooth functioning of the real estate market in our community and brings with it over 30 years of experience to the task of advising on property issues. UCAR is active in the communities in many ways. Realtors are advocates for homeownership and for keeping such ownership affordable and within the reach of the greatest number of Americans possible. UCAR’s advocacy efforts, facilitated by Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC), ensure that the voice of homeownership is heard on crucial issues such as environmental legislation, zoning changes, tax initiatives, transit and road issues and growth policies.
